Welcome to our tropical paradise! Below is some information about the area and suggestions for things to do.

Fishing

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a family looking for a bit of fun, there are many options on the Indian River Lagoon. Our lagoon is home to Snook, Redfish, and Trout and near the lagoon’s many inlets, you may find Permit, Cobia, Tarpon, and Trevally. Locate a Captain and take the family out for a half day or full day of fishing fun on the Indian River Lagoon. For more info, visit https://hirams.com/things-to-do/fishing-charters/.

Beaches

With over 20 miles of beautiful beaches, our shoreline displays the best of nature - unspoiled and thriving. Our beaches are known for being uncrowded, so, depending on the time of year, you may only be sharing the beach with sea turtles and shore birds! Boating

“Boating in Indian River County is a year-round activity but things really heat up during the summer months. There’s no better way to spend time on your vacation than cruising the waterways on a boat. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to get out there. And with boat rentals, eco-tours, and waterfront dining it’s never been more accessible.” For more info, visit https://visitindianrivercounty.com/boating/

Wildlife

“The Lagoon has more species of plants and animals than any other estuary in North America, including over 2,200 animal species and over 2,100 plant species. Since it is located where the temperate and tropical zones overlap and located within the Indian River Lagoon at the confluence of freshwater and saltwater sources, the refuge is uniquely situated to support a wide variety of resident and migratory species.” For more info, visit https://www.fws.gov/refuge/pelican_island/wildlife_and_habitat/indian_river_lagoon.html
